CVPA Chef in the Mix for Upcoming Tri Kappa Kitchen Tour and Tasting

CROWN POINT - Chef Joseph J. Trama, certified executive chef, incorporates excellence and creativity into the menu at the Center for Visual & Performing Arts in
Munster. He will take his skill and talent on the road as he participates in the 2010 Tri Kappa Kitchen Tour and Tasting, from 12 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 17.

Featuring distinctive kitchens in eight private homes located in Crown Point, local chefs, including Trama, will offers guests a “tasting” of a featured menu item or one the chef’s
favorite dishes. Guests will move from home to home, in whichever order they choose, and enjoy some of Northwest Indiana’s finest cuisine in the kitchens of some of its most
beautiful, historic residences.

Chef Trama will prepare Asian influenced North Atlantic salmon with a tasting of fried rice and Napa slaw in Fata paper.

Other local executive chefs joining Trama at the event include Chef Phillippe A. Joseph of Phillippe’s Catering and Howard & Sons; Chef John Graves of Gamba Ristorante; Chef
Carl Lindskog of Amore Ristorante; Chef Eddie Luick of Bon Femme Café; Chef Dave Marrs of Youche Country Club; Chef Tim Merkel of Giovanni’s Restaurant; Chef Jack
Mix of Comfort’s Catering; Chef Tammy Pham of Asparagus and Chef Patrick Scholz of Lucrezia Ristorante.

Event proceeds will benefit St. Clare Clinic that provides free prenatal and medical care for underprivileged and uninsured families in Lake County. Proceeds also are earmarked
for the culinary scholarship fund of the Northwest Indiana Chapter of the American Culinary Federation.

Ticket sales are limited to 250 at a price of $40 each. Tickets are available for purchase at The Artful Garden, located at 611 N. Indiana Avenue in Crown Point. For more
