New Year’s Early Eve Dinner and Show with Dancing in the Ballroom of The Center for Visual and Performing Arts

Guests can celebrate an early evening arrival of the 2022 new year with an elegant four-course plated dinner, live music and dancing under the chandeliers in the Ballroom of The Center for Visual and Performing Arts, 1040 Ridge Road in Munster.
Chef Joe Trama and his Trama Catering and Events Team are hosting the event which begins with doors open at 5 p.m. for a cash bar and opportunity to stroll the atrium lobby exhibit and the more than 20 beautifully theme decorated trees displayed for the Festival of Trees exhibit. Dinner is served at 6 p.m. designed as “friendship seating” with eight guests per table. Reservations are required. The custom created menu for the night begins with Cream of Asparagus Soup, followed by a Winter Salad featuring hearts of hearts blend of lettuce, roasted butternut squash and feta cheese tossed with champagne vinaigrette dressing before the main course of paired filet mignon and boneless chicken breast served with Béarnaise sauce and chef’s signature swirled duchess mashed potatoes enriched with sour cream chives and aged pecorino Romano cheese and fresh green beans along with oven warm assortment of dinner rolls and creamy butter. The dessert finale is a chocolate panna cotta with Frangelico crème sauce and fresh berry garnish and raspberry coulis accent.
Live music in the Ballroom begins at 7 p.m. for a “Musical Memories Concert” showcasing favorite hit songs of the 1960s, 70s and 80s, as well as guest requests. Musicians and vocalists Kerry Gremp, Bruce Smit and Tim Dionne deliver all of the top pop songs from both jukebox days and also the radio top charters spanning four decades. The music and evening concludes at 9 p.m. to provide time for guests be home in time to welcome the arrival of the new year.
